Dorset Educational Psychology Service

Who are we?

We are educational psychologists (EPs) registered with the HCPC who work for Dorset Council. Our main purpose is to improve educational outcomes for children and young people.

What do we do?

We aim to provide advice and guidance to overcome barriers to learning. We do this through consultations, training, coaching, modelling, group problem solving and supervision to other people who work with children and families. We work within multidisciplinary teams providing consultation to education settings, early help and social care colleagues as well as collaborating with colleagues in the health sector.

We have several areas of expertise with regard to emotional wellbeing and mental health and are involved in delivering commissioned projects for Dorset CCG and Dorset Council including:

Academic Resilience Approach (ARA)

I Can Problem Solve (ICPS)
