Leading to a Level 4 Certificate in Mental Health Aware Leadership (Educational Leader) in addition to accreditation as a National Educational Leader in Mental Health.

Course preparation
All course materials are delivered digitally. This means you will need to bring a device or download the materials before coming on the course.
Before the course you are required to complete a personal skills audit and also a setting audit. These are both available online through mentalhealthlead.com. If a colleague is also completing a course with us, then complete the setting audit in tandem.

You will be invoiced £800 plus VAT only if we have confirmation of DfE funding (we have applied for this course fee to be paid for by the DfE Mental Health Lead Training Grant).

Sonia Cross Sonia Cross Trainer

Sonia is committed to improving the emotional health and wellbeing of children and young people. She has been a Health and Wellbeing Officer at School Improvement Liverpool for over three years now. In 2015 Sonia played a pivotal role in the citywide review of mental health services in Liverpool schools. Sonia holds Training and Development Lead Body qualifications and has successfully delivered to a range of senior school staff across all phases. Sonia also holds the National PSHE CPD qualification and is accredited to deliver it. Sonia is able to design and deliver bespoke training around resilience, teaching about mental health and staff wellbeing to meet the needs of any audience.

Judith Judith Trainer

Judy works as a Senior School Improvement Officer in Liverpool supporting schools and senior education leaders to foster cultural and organisational change. She has strategic responsibility for all aspects of PSHE, RSHE, Mental Health and Wellbeing, Physical Activity and Nutrition. Judy works across a wide variety of settings at all levels with Headteachers, senior leaders and other professionals. Judy has been a strategic partner on the local whole school approach to mental health board, as well as working with specialists and agencies across the city through locality teams and SEND consortia. Judy has qualifications in mental health and successfully delivers many aspects of training inlcuding leadership development, NPQs, Ofsted readiness and Health and Wellbeing. Judy regularly designs and delivers bespoke training to meet the needs of any audience on all aspects of school improvement.
